Lourdes Lower Stations
The Peaceful Path of the Prairie

While the High Stations offer a rugged climb, the Lourdes Lower Stations, or the Prairie Stations, provide a gentle, accessible path of reflection along the Gave River.

Though I spent my final afternoon capturing the heights of the Espelugues, a fellow pilgrim was kind enough to journey through this peaceful meadow to document these stations. Thanks to their generosity, we can share the beauty of this level path—designed so that every pilgrim, regardless of physical ability, can walk with Our Lord.

Peace in the Meadow

The journey through the Prairie Stations is a gentle encounter with the Divine. Unlike the rugged climb of the heights, these 17 white marble-dust stations by artist Maria de Faykod invite a quiet, accessible reflection along the banks of the Gave.

It is a reminder that the Way of the Cross is open to everyone, offering a serene space where the spirit can find rest even amidst the trials of the world.

Does the peaceful atmosphere of the Prairie speak to your heart today? I would be honored to carry your intentions in prayer.
