While on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in June of 2024, I discovered a hidden gem called the Talking Stones Garden (Xardín das Pedras que Falan). At the time of my visit, only 17 stones had been placed, though the garden is destined to eventually hold 40.
The core concept of that space is deeply symbolic: each stone “speaks” to the passerby, creating a beautiful harmony between the raw beauty of nature and the depth of human expression. It is a tranquil, lush space designed for deep reflection and inspiration.
Later in my travels, my faith journey led me to Medjugorje, where I was introduced to another profound set of markers: The Five Stones of Medjugorje.
While reviewing the pages and sections of this website, I struck upon a beautiful realization. There is a powerful relationship between these "speaking stones" and the meditative steps of the Rosary, as well as the stations of the Passion of Christ walk.
Looking at the Five Stones through this lens offers us a fresh angle—a new perspective to help you walk in faith and deepen your journey home. Both concepts are an invitation. They invite you to slow down, wander the path, and listen closely to what the earth and the spirit are trying to tell you:
