Blue Army Fourteenth Station

Blue Army Fourteenth Station

Blue Army Fourteenth Station concludes the Way of the Cross as Jesus is laid in the tomb. The stone is rolled into place, and a great silence falls over the earth. We wait at the tomb in hope, knowing that this resting place is not an end, but the hidden threshold of the Resurrection. Internally, as I contemplate this scene, I feel myself changing—growing deeper into a spiritual understanding of the lessons Jesus continues to teach even in the midst of His intense suffering. My Lord, I pray that You continue to open my eyes wider as I follow You.

Jesus is Laid in the Tomb
V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
R. Because by Thy holy cross, Thou hast redeemed the world.

"My buried Jesus, I kiss the stone that encloses Thee. But Thou didst rise again, on the third day. I beseech Thee by Thy resurrection, Jesus, let me rise glorious with Thee on the last day." — The Way of the Cross of Saint Alphonsus Liguori

Voices of the Cross

A Deeper Journey into the Souls Present at the Blue Army Fourteenth Station

"We invite you into a spiritual exercise: listening to the imagined hearts of those who stood on the Way of the Cross, ending with a personal meditation."
The Long Night

The Sealed Door

"The stone rolled into place with a sound that felt so final. I led Mary away, but I kept looking back. It felt like we were burying our hope along with Him. But even in the despair, there was a tiny spark—a memory of His promise that death would not have the last word."

"Can I stay faithful in the darkness of 'the tomb' moments in my life?"
The Sabbath Rest

The Mother's Vigil

"He is resting now. The world thinks it has won, but I know the Father's heart. I will wait in the silence. I will keep the lamp of faith burning for all of them until the morning comes. The tomb is not a prison; it is a cradle for the New Creation."

"Mother Mary, teach me how to wait for God's timing with a peaceful heart."
Waiting

The Watcher in the Dark

"I watched where they laid Him. My heart feels like a tomb itself. But I will not leave. Love doesn't end just because the light goes out. I will be here at dawn, ready to serve Him one last time, even if it is only to wash His feet once more."

"What 'stones' have I rolled over my heart to keep God's light out?"
My Personal Meditation

My Heart Ponders

"The tomb is not an end; it is a seedbed. Every burial in my life—every lost dream, every ended relationship—is a hidden opportunity for a new kind of life. I lay my burdens in the tomb with You, Jesus, trusting that you are already working in the dark."

"Jesus, I trust that You are the Lord of the living and the dead. I wait for Your Resurrection."
